The most important reason for doing my research is that I believe comics hold transformative power, not only in how we tell stories, but how we get to tell them, who and what we get to (not) represent in them, who we get to reach, and how it informs and can achieve the potential to change our world. Understanding this better can help artists, educators, publishers, and researchers in their usage of graphic storytelling strategies to have a positive impact on children, adults, our “nature”, our planet.
